| This is what we see each day when we come to work at GARF. The Warm Springs Historical District has dozens of gold rush mansions that were built during the late 1800s. Many of these homes have been in the same families for over 100 years. The Mission Style home that is across Warm Springs Avenue from GARF has been in the same family since it was built. It is rare to have so many homes that have never been in the real estate market on one street.
 At GARF we have constructed an Ornamental Wet Land project and the many ducks are lucky that the city replaced the wooden pipe with an insulated ceramic pipe about 20 years ago. Now the ducks and fish have a warm place to spend the winter. Leonel is lucky that he can park his Durango in front of the Foundation with no fear of it falling into a hole:). GARF has helped many people start their own wet lands projects, and we will post more information about our research into commercially self supporting water treatment wet lands.
 Eddie Postma makes AragocreteTM out doors until the snow starts to fall. You can see the equipment he uses to make his wonderful creations. The Styrofoam boxes hold the heat generated by the curing AragocreteTM so the sculptures can harden for two days before they are moved to the Geothemal ponds . The rain soft geothermal water is treated by extracting and neutralizing the alkaloid's in the cement. This helps our fish and plants, and it is fully contained to our zero dicharge wet land.
