|This picture shows you how much the Bali Xenia has grown in the mother tank in just two weeks. It is amazing to watch the day to day activity, but having it backed up in photos to show the rest of the world is amazing. This picture really shows the color and fast growth of this animal. People have not had a hard time keeping this animal if they just simply leave her alone. The challenge is when you begin to propagate her. Becuase this Xenia grows so huge propagation is something everyone must learn to do.
Also they do not like temperature above 80 degrees, and salinity must stay steady at 1.023. We use the Instant Ocean salt, and the recipe for success that is shared in the bulletproof reef system on our web site.
Regardless what others may write supplements are so important to the overall success of any reef tank and the animals that live within their boundaries. Water changes, feeding, skimming are important. The human job that no equipment can replace is simply looking at your animals. It is so important.
I am proud to say that this Xenia is now spread out in several of the GARF tanks and all of the babies are growing as fast as our children seem to grow up before our own eyes. Some of the tanks these animals have been placed in are only three months old. Some of them are in reefs that have only have 40-watt lighting, and they are thriving. The common denominator is the Instant Ocean salt, Sea Chem supplements, a great deal of love, regular water changes, and light bulb changes. The less stress the better your success.

Sometimes I forget how fun it can be to watch the Reef Janitorstm as they go about their duties. It is important to have the mixture of crabs and snails custom picked for your reef aquarium. Both Leonel and Brian are experts in algae control. You can be sure that they will choose the right mixture from GARF's extensive collection of algae eaters.
The GARF staff knows that each aquarium is different and they will ask about the size, lighting, and age of your reef. Summer is the most important time to add extra janitorstm because there is more light and the reef will be a bit warmer. When you order any Reef Janitor pactm you can pick a free coral or two pounds of GARF's FAMOUS GRUNGE LIVE SAND ACTIVATOR Reef Janitors tm or call toll free 800-600-6163.
Use this site to solve your reef aquarium algae problems, and help support our research!!!
