This image illustrates the point that I have been talking about concerning small fragments of wonderful corals. The Zoanthids in the foreground are some of the most brilliantly colored Zoanthids that we have, and Lionel started his colony with only one of each color.
We have been receiving some unbelievably beautiful Zoanthids from the new coral farm in East Timor. The people working at the coral farm in East Timor have been attempting to grow Aquaculture rock, and they got an unexpected bonus when the wild Zoanthids spawned.
Because open space on the reef is at such a premium the Aquaculture rock was utilized as a new home for settling larva. Hundreds of different strains of Zoanthids were able to settle on the newly placed Aquaculture rock.
Curtis and Norm remove small samples of each of these types of colorful Zoanthids from the Aquaculture rock. When these small Zoanthids are placed in a healthy reef tank they rapidly adapt to captivity and start to grow.
You can see a beautiful pink birds nest coral -Seriatapora- in the upper right hand corner, and next to it is a small Green Slimer that was sent to us as Acropora yongei. Lionel has been following the bulletproof reef formula and it is working very well.
The most important thing to remember is to keep doing what you have been doing. The bulletproof reef system works, it is fun exciting and so rewarding.
We also have DVD,'s on sale as well as VCR's. This is a one-hour program show casing many of GARFs tanks and all of our methods for propagation. It is a must have for any library, and a bargain price. This DVD will provide valuable information for all aspects of the Industry. We have had comments back from some of our customers wanting to get new releases.
FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS WE HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO PURCHASE, TRADE, AND SAVE AS MANY TYPES OF CORALS AS WE CAN.
We will continue to provide the most current data on reef farming for both education and profit.
Sometimes I forget how fun it can be to watch the Reef Janitorstm as they go about their duties. It is important to have the mixture of crabs and snails custom picked for your reef aquarium. Both Leonel and Norm are experts in algae control. You can be sure that they will choose the right mixture from GARF's extensive collection of algae eaters.
The GARF staff knows that each aquarium is different and they will ask about the size, lighting, and age of your reef. Summer is the most important time to add extra janitorstm because there is more light and the reef will be a bit warmer. When you order any Reef Janitor pactm you can pick a free coral or two pounds of GARF's FAMOUS GRUNGE LIVE SAND ACTIVATOR Reef Janitors tm or call toll free 800-600-6163.
Use this site to solve your reef aquarium algae problems, and help support our research!!!
|Many of the rare corals are offered to our members for 2 years before they are put on sale. We will soon have an E-mail list that will list the rarest color forms of sps corals and soft corals such as Xenia and Mushrooms.|
