GARF.ORG  STAY IN   SCHOOL BUS

We are working very hard to develop a traveling science exploration bus. This project will display our LIVING MUSEUM displays to thousands of students who have not been exposed to exciting careers that are only available to students who continue their education. Students often feel that the future holds no promise, and teen suicide is very common. This is often a preventable problem when students have long term goals. It is tragic that Idaho has the third highest teen suicide rate in the nation.

We are certain that we can deliver a life changing experience to underfunded school systems. Many schools in Idaho and surrounding states do not have the money to purchase science and art materials because the local school districts do not have enough money.

STAY IN SCHOOL BUS

Garf.org is donating aquariums to selected rural and native school systems.
Many of these schools do not have funding for extra projects that can create a love of Science and Math. Our living museum will visit these schools with displays created to spark this love by showing the teachers and students many displays that showcase exciting jobs in nature related careers.

Each school has a central library that all of the students visit. The library may not be well stocked, but we can help by getting book donations. There are tens of thousands of books on Amazon.com for less than one dollar. The shipping can be done so the selected schools directly receive the books that are donated. We supply the list of needed books and our members can donate ten books for less that forty dollars.

When the students visit the Living Museum bus they will see a reef display, a rain forest display, and a trout stream cross section with both trout and the water bugs that feed them.

The donated aquarium will be the responsibility of one class, but it will be in the school library so each class can enjoy and learn from it.

Sally Jo and leRoy do not wait for the government or large companies to help with needed programs. The website garf.org continues to teach thousands of people to grow their own reefs, so they can enjoy their hobby without damaging the wild reef. Hundreds of new coral farmers learned to farm by using garf.org free of charge.

We are in contact with science teachers in many countries who use our website and all of its programs in thier classes.
