Much of our research is being conducted in the field of reef farming. We are conducting these studies both in marine aquariums and in the ocean. Reef aquarium research is being conducted by members of the foundation both in the U.S. and in several other countries. We have been researching the best ways to control algae in reef aquariums for several years. Our REEF JANITORS are becoming the most popular algae eaters in the reef hobby. 
We also supply expert advice on algae control for marine aquariums, wetlands and backyard ponds.
We provide quality educational programs to students here in Idaho and online. We have marine aquarium tours that are attended by hundreds of students each year. We are available to speak at aquarium clubs.
Our students propagate many of the invertebrates that we sell. Our collection of reef animals is growing very fast. You can join our research team by filling out one of the data collection forms on our pages. We hope you will print these pages for the use of your friends who are not yet on the web.

The majority of our on-going research is dedicated to live rock farming. Currently we are propagating marine life for both ornamental and medical research. The Geothermal Aquaculture Research Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization dependent on sales of quality products and our special Annual Events to support our eduacation programs. These projects sustain our service programs and ongoing research we provide to our Community and the World. 

We are an Idaho Non Profit Organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge of reef keeping. Our live rock aquaculture research has produced many new techniques for sustaining marine life and propagating corals. We are currently growing many species of sps corals, mushrooms, etc. The Foundation is building a genetic bank in Idaho with collections from around the World. We specialize in reef janitors, and have shared this research with many people who need to control algae in land-based live rock aquaculture tanks.
