Hello!  This is a page that Leroy Headlee and Scott Morell have been working on to provide a guideline for setting up a Bullet Proof Reef aquarium.  You can either select your tank from the list of standard size tanks, or enter the dimensions of your own custom built tank.

 

Once you press on next, a page will be built, based upon the dimensions of the tank, and will display GARF's recommendations for a Bullet Proof Reef using that tank.  This page will recommend the following:

Lighting - Which lights and ballasts to use.

Plenum - Provides a cutlist for building your own plenum.

Sand Bed - What kinds of sand and how much to use for a plenum.

Power Heads - What size of power heads and how many to use for current.

Heaters - How many watts are needed.

Protein Skimmers - Which one to use.

Aragocrete/Aquacultured Live Rock - How much to use.

Supplements - The amount of each SeaChem supplements to use.
