Leroy,
First I have to say thank you...Everytime I get a package from GARF I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. My fiance laughs at me because she sees how happy I get when I receive a package from you and how I rush to the door to receive it. My fiance always asks...why is it that when ever you are going to get a package you rush to the door but when my mother comes over you don't...I told her because one simple reason...because my future mother-in-law isn't from GARF!

From the Reef Janitors to the Grunge to the soft corals I received yesterday everything I have received is always beyond my expectations. Thank you and your staff again for the great job you have done.

Best Regards,
Mike Lukaczyn

I am happy that our hobby is starting to produce many of the corals we keep in our aquariums. GARF is contacted each week by people who are starting to farm corals. If you are farming corals on any scale please send us an e-mail, leroy@garf.org, so we can learn from your experience. We are certain that many small locally owned coral farms will make a positive impact on our hobby.

This letter is the finest message I could have received. We reef keepers CAN make a difference in our hobby. Please help GARF and our supporters make this a hobby we can be proud of!

 Greetings Leroy and Sally Jo,
I purchased a couple of corals from you about a year ago. The "Green Slimer" is an incredibly fast grower. In the last six months, my local LFS has not had to purchase "commercial" corals because I have been able to provide him with enough soft and hard coral cuttings to meet his needs! I wanted to thank you for the superb corals and for letting me provide "home grown" corals for my local market. You will be hearing from me soon for more of your beautiful corals.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I received my Reef Janitors on Friday and I am so amazed at how quickly they went to work. My tank was very colorful, but unfortunately it was colored with green, red, maroon and brown algae and it was not attractive. I have been Reef keeping for about 5 or 6 years and as much as I enjoy this hobby, I have been getting really discouraged by the algae problem, I tried chemicals, removing by hand, water changes, nothing seemed to work and only my hardiest mushrooms and polyps would survive, all of my corals would get choked out. I am totally re-enthused about reef-keeping now, the hermits and snails have already cleared out a ton of algae, I am seeing things in my tank that I forgot I had and it has only been two days. Thank you so much for such an inspiring and helpful web site and for offering such great deals and also for being so helpful on the phone when I was ordering, it was all so easy. I can't wait to order some corals!!!

Thanks again,
Cheryl Ellison

Just a note to let you know how pleased I am about my recent order and in doing business (it doesn't seem like business - it's too much fun) with you guys in general. This time I received acroporas, mushrooms, zooanthids, neat star polyps & some really cool pavonas! What an amazing variety of shapes, habits & colors. I took your advice some months back and let the "janitors" clean out what had been for years a fish only tank (with a lot of rock). The tank looks amazing now and there is only one fish in it.

 Thanks Again,
John A. Ferris

We have made some free GREEN WATER and Rotifers that you can use to grow your own Zooplankton and Phytoplankton. It is fun to set up two plastic buckets outside where they can receive morning of late afternoon light. You can fill the buckets with water from your reef, and this is a great reason to do that water change you have been wanting to do. These cultures are free if you ask for them when you place an order for Reef JanitorsTM or Corals. Please ask for this free gift so we can send it with your order. Call Leonel at 800-600-6163.

If you have purchased GARF corals in the past and you would like to assist in the symbiont DNA research GARF will be ready to trade rare SPS corals for fragments of SPS corals from your systems. By comparing the symbionts in your corals with the symbionts in the corals still at GARF we will be able to learn how corals adapt to changes. If you're interested in participating in this research please e-mail me at LeRoy @ garf.org leroy@garf.org

I just wanted to write and thank all of you for your great customer service. I recently had a shipment that didn't get to me for two days due to DHL having mechanical problems at one of their stops. When I receved my shipment, all of the bags were very warm and by the next day I had lost almost half of what I ordered. I called in the morning and Leonel was kind enough to resend everything that I had lost. In fact on one of the plugs, there was a zoanthid that I had wanted that was in several of your pictures. Just getting that single polyp made my day. This has been my 3rd order not including the last reshipment and I have been very happy with everything I have received. I have more variety in my 2 small 5 gallons than my local pet store has in his 2 125 gallon reef tanks. Thanks again and I'll be sending some pictures soon!

Subject: THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

Hello Leroy,
I just had to write you to thank you for everything that you and your staff have done to help me create such a beautiful reef tank. Let me start by saying that I would never have done business with any internet company in the past. I am very careful about how my money is spent. YOUR BEAUTIFUL PICTURES ON THE WEB SITE CONVINCED ME TO GIVE YOU A TRY. BOY AM I GLAD I DID!

I started out by purchasing some garf grunge and reef janitors. The janitors have completely cleaned my tank and are busy working every day. I had an algae bloom that I could not control, and now, in only a few weeks, it is not only gone, but the tank is spotless!

The grunge is the most beautiful substrate I have ever seen! I have found numerous little corals and sponges growing in my tank, and I am experiencing a coraline algae bloom much faster than thought possible. Also, every experienced reef keeper that has seen my tank wants to know what the heck is that? Being used to seeing plain sand or crushed coral, they are delighted and mystified by the beauty! It has also added a level of stability and overall health to my tank that is amazing!

Next, as you know, I have ordered a few shipments of corals from you. I can't believe how fast they grow, and how beautiful they are! This is of course in addition to the rare species that you offer. Never in a million years could I have found the rare and different corals you have sent me. The pet shop, or reef "experts" would never have most of these beautiful rarities!

As a matter of fact, my local coral supplier has seen my tank and he cannot believe his eyes! He has told me that with over thirty years in the reef aquarium business, never has he seen such a beautiful tank! The "show" tank in his store is very pale by comparison!

I have told him that thanks to some real professionals in Idaho, this type of tank could be a reality for anyone! I am sure he will order from you soon, as he is most jealous of my aquarium, and has to have some for his own!

I will send you some pictures very soon. I am sure that you will agree, this is truly a beautiful, healthy, thriving, 90 gallon reef aquarium. I owe most of it to you and your staff!

From grunge, janitors, magic reef dust, and your help in recommending food and additives, everything I followed from what you have suggested has helped my tank achieve more goals than I ever expected! THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING! I CANNOT WAIT TO RECEIVE MY NEXT ORDER, VERY SOON!

Subject: Reef Janitors

Hi, I just wanted to send a note and tell you how glad I am that I purchased some reef
janitors from you. I had been reading as much as I could on your wonderful website and
decided that I needed to get some. I have a 20gl tank with 5 chunks of live rock in it about
the size of a large grapefruit. I was having trouble with a diatom algea bloom when I made
my order. Those little guys had that tank almost completely clean in about a week. I no
longer have to clean the glass myself. Thanks !!!

Hello,

You did right the first time and any algae that started was eaten by the organisms in

the grunge and the Janitors. You are in for smooth sailing. We often do not use skimmers for

about six to eight months, and then we use a small SeaClone from Aquarium Systems.

Thank you so much.

I wanted to let you know how thankful I am for your hair algae janitor crew.

I experienced a severe algae problem in my 45 gallon mixed reef in late 1998. I battled the
algae for about 7 months trying blue-legged hermit, Sally Lightfoots, frequent water
changes, and suctioning. While these methods kept the algae from progressing past a certain
point, it did nothing to alleviate the problem.

My boyfriend heard about GARF from a bulletin board and suggested I take a look.
This was a real reef-saver.

After removing the blue-legged hermits, I had your crew shipped to my office and took an
early lunch when the livestock arrived. I followed all of your suggestions and began to see a
difference within a month. The tank that had become a chore is now my pride and joy.

I am working part time in my LFS and am the "go-to" person for our customers with hair
algae problems. I always refer them to GARF and am completely honest
when I tell them that your janitors were the only thing that worked.

Once again, many thanks for the great service and for getting my tank turned around.
