This is another picture of Sally Jo's One Hundred Percent Pulsing Xenia. It is amazing to watch how fast a colony this size can start to grow. We have learned how to ship Xenia during the last six years, and I found that it is much better received a small live colony of Xenia than any large dead colony.
When we ship colonies of Xenia about this size we have almost one hundred percent success, and that is why we are able to guarantee live delivery on Xenia. It has been proven over and over again that captive raised Xenia adapt better, ship better , and grow faster than any wild collected Xenia.
The other corals in this picture include Steve Tyree's Blue Chalice in the upper left-hand corner, the beautiful purple and brown Zoanthids below that, and the famous Dirk's green blue and orange Zoanthids from Minnesota. All the corals in this picture have been in our collection for over six years, and is fun to remember the people who gave us or sold us these corals. I am always amazed when I shows Sally Jo a coral and ask her where it came from because she can remember exactly who gave it to us and what they told her about where it came from.
The Geothermal Aquaculture Research Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization dependent on sales of quality products and our special Annual Events to support our eduacation programs. These projects sustain our service programs and ongoing research we provide to our Community and the World. We are an Idaho Non Profit Organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge of reef keeping. Our live rock aquaculture research has produced many new techniques for sustaining marine life and propagating corals. We are currently growing many species of sps corals, mushrooms, etc. The Foundation is building a genetic bank in Idaho with collections from around the World. We specialize in reef janitors, and have shared this research with many people who need to control algae in land-based live rock aquaculture tanks.
