ROCK OF THE WEEK #4 - THIS EDDIE ORIGINAL ARCH SCULPTURE
WILL MAKE A WONDERFUL STEADY BASE FOR YOUR REEF
Our aragocrete rock maker, Eddie, produces many rocks a week. They are all wonderful; there 's nothing better for a tank than a piece of aragocrete. Aragocrete buffers the water and is porous, allowing lots of helpful bacteria to grow in the spaces.
Out of every batch of rocks that Eddie makes, I chose one to be the rock of the week. The rock of the week is an exceptional rock, one deserving of its own website. All of Eddie's rocks are for sale, including the rocks of the week.

Hopefully "Rock of the Week" will both give people a chance to get these great rocks, and give ideas to people who are making their own rock (instructions for making your own rock are on our website). This piece of aragocrete rock caught my attention immediately.
It is a perfect size, and you can tell immediately by its shape that it is sturdy. This rock will balance well on other rocks and could even be a good base rock. However, the best use of this rock would be to hold corals. The holes on the top are made to hold reef plugs, each with a coral.
All you have to do is pop the plug in the hole, let it grow for a couple of months until the coral has grown over the plug and onto the aragocrete. Then you simply pop the plug out again, leaving coral on the aragocrete, andWalla! You have two colonies of your favorite coral!

This rock is: 21 inches wide 12 long 9 inches tall
It weighs 25.65 pounds, and at 5 dollars a pound costs 128 dollars.
A fun idea for a project would be to buy this rock and a GARF soft coral set at the same time. You could fill that empty space in your tank with a vibrant chunk of coral reef. The plugs in the soft coral set will easily slide into those holes, positioning themselves perfectly for good current and light. Call us now to order this rock of the week!
