THESE TWO PICTURES SHOW SALLY JO'S CORAL BROOD STOCK REEF
THIS IS SALLY JO'S OLDEST 55 GALLON REEF AQUARIUM. THE LARGE CORAL IS A BLOND MONTIPORA THAT GROWS VERY FAST.
SALLY JO HAS BEEN ABLE TO HARVEST HUNDREDS OF CORAL CUTTINGS FROM THIS 2 YEAR OLD REEF AQUARIUM. THESE PICTURES WERE TAKEN LAST FALL JUST AFTER SHE HAD MADE A MAJOR CUTTING.

This reef has four 4 foot VHO bulbs and two 40 watt four foot bulbs. Almost every one of the 175+ types of coral in this aquarium were grown from cuttings. Many of the larger reef aquariums in Idaho have been started using corals from this tank. Captive raised corals get stronger each time they are propagated. Each new generation of cuttings seems to ship better, and we get reports from all over the country that these corals are easy to grow.
