PICTURE OF THE WEEK 7/17/98

REEF PICTURES SPONSORED BY REEF JANITORS

THESE TWO PICTURES SHOW SOME OF THE RARE SPS CORALS WE ARE GROWING

Small polyp stony corals that are produced in reef aquariums are much easier to keep than corals that have been taken from the ocean.

This is a picture of one of our 150 gallon sps coral reefs with 8--4 foot VHO bulbs. All of the corals have been attached underwater using super glue. We have started to divide these corals because they are growing too large for the places we first put them. The super glue makes it very easy to attach and remove the frags.

The large coral in the back of this reef is Pocilopora that grew from a half inch tall frag. Many of these corals have been in Idaho for 3 years and we have made many cuttings.
